Description

The TLX is Acura’s newest mid-size sedan that delivers more luxury and technology than its competitors. This is quite the accomplishment, considering that the TLX had to set the bar higher than its predecessors, the TL and the TSX, both cars that it replaces. The TLX merges the best qualities of its predecessors in a package and design that properly addresses the luxury market.

While the styling may seem understated, one has to only look at its Jewel Eye led headlights to get a sense of how much cutting edge technology this vehicle packs. With PAWS (Precision All-Wheel Steer), Agile Handling Assist, and the Integrated Dynamics System, all systems work in tandem with the chassis to deliver a driving experience that reduces understeer, matches shifts smoothly, and acclimates to your driving style. More importantly, the TLX feels secure on the road, thanks to features such as lane detection, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and parking sensors. Even with this amount of safety, the driving experience is not disengaging.

The model in our fleet is fully speced with the optional 3.5L V-6 delivering a stout 290hp through a 9-speed automatic transmission. That is more than adequate power for merging onto interstates, all while delivering up to 34mpg. That type of performance and efficiency is unheard of in this category, making it the economical choice without compromising fun.
