Over 40 Club Sportiva Members enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Tesla Motors recently. Imagine the performance of a Ferrari with the fuel economy better than the most miserly hybrid! Tesla executives and engineers were on hand to explain the innovative energy storage system, motor, transmission and power electronics module for the sleek Roadster. From concept to production, it's clear that the engineering of the Tesla Roadster is designed to burn rubber, not gas. One Member summed up the experience perfectly - “The tour of Tesla Motors was awesome! The energy was great and it really made me feel privileged to be a Member.”

So, "When is the Club getting one!?" was the question everyone asked. The correct answer is not just one, but one for each location. The San Francisco and Silicon Valley Clubs will find a Roadster parked in the Paddock early in 2008 when the first round of deliveries occur. Ahh, the ease of access. The thought of having the Ferrari F430 delivered directly to your home or office will have you clearing your calendar early! We're not suggesting you play hooky from work, but there's no need to lose precious driving time waiting in traffic since we'll come to you. With the simplicity of having your favorite Club car conveniently parked at your door, it makes it that much easier to find your favorite backroad more quickly. Our new trailer was recently wrapped in a sleek design that's sure to get some attention when it heads to the far reaches of the Bay Area.

Spring Road Rally - Sunday, April 15th

Our Spring road rally is the perfect way to officially kick-off the driving season. The route will take Members across the Bay Bridge past the Briones Reservoir on Bear Creek Road and then on to Lake Hennesey near St. Helena. The day includes private tastings & tours of D.R. Stephens and Caymus Vineyards, two of Napa's most prestigious wineries. We will continue our drive to our newest Bay Area partner, The Carneros Inn, for an elegant dinner in their outdoor living room styled alfresco lounge. To top it off, we’ve planned a little surprise on our way back to the City – be sure to bring your cameras! Lunch will be provided and family members are welcome.

Smoking Jacket Not Required -- Kick Back in Our New Cigar Lounge

We recently put the final touches on our new Cigar Lounge adjacent to the Paddock. A fully stocked humidor complements posh leather chaises, a wine cellar and a brick façade. The 60” plasma screen is waiting for you and your friends to enjoy the next sporting event. Members can reserve the Lounge for meetings or just stop by the next time you feel like enjoying a fine Havana.

Lufthansa HON Circle Event at Clubhouse – Thursday, April 19th

Club Sportiva welcomes Lufthansa HON Circle Members for “A Taste of Tuscany.” Club Members are invited to mingle with Lufthansa’s most valuable customers and learn more about their new Private Jet service. Next time you have the urge to drive one of the Club's Ferrari's from our European collection, have it waiting for you on the tarmac as you step out of the cabin of your Private Jet. Member Car Showcase at Clubhouse – Sunday, May 27th

We are excited to announce our first Member vehicle showcase at the Clubhouse. Our Members are dedicated automotive enthusiasts who take pride in their vehicles. Whether it’s an American classic (Bob's ’66 Corvette), European vintage (James’ Porsche 356 coupe) or modern exotic (Eric’s Ferrari 360 Spider), this is your opportunity to showcase your weekend toy to the rest of us. Our event will take place from 1pm-4pm and will be limited to 15 Member vehicles. Bring your familly and enjoy all of the recent additions to the Clubhouse.

Poker Night at Clubhouse – Monday, April 9th

Our monthly Poker night, held the second Monday of the month, is gaining in popularity. Some of the 18 players in February’s tournament stayed late trying to figure out how they left the table so early!
