Q1 2007 UPDATE

Super Bowl Party at Clubhouse – February 4th

The Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears battle head-to-head in Super Bowl XLI this Sunday, February 4th. Every minute of the game will be projected on multiple plasma screens spread throughout, which will be more than adequate to capture all the sneakiest penalties and last-minute game clinchers. A deluxe tailgating menu will be served to satisfy your hunger into double overtime. This isn’t your average bowlfest. Due to the popularity of this event, attendance has reached capacity with 80 football fans on the guest list (or is it the great advertisements and halftime entertainment...)

Artist Series "Take it for Granite"
by Robert Minuzzo
6:00 - 9:00pm February 7th

Join fellow Members and guests at the Robert Minuzzo artist series the evening of February 7th. “Rocks from the rivers I visit to fish have captivated me for many years. Now I have interpreted their design and color inspirations on my canvases. There are many others to paint – this is just the beginning” says Robert. A selection of wines and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided. We are expecting a large turnout of 50-75 guests, so please call early to R.S.V.P.

Club Sportiva Welcomes Bob Harrah
as Director of Membership for Silicon Valley

As a Club Sportiva Member for nearly two years and the proud owner of a 1966 big block Corvette and a newer C5 Corvette, Bob joins Club Sportiva as Director of Membership for our Silicon Valley Clubhouse. As with his passion for various vehicles, Bob has managed to squeeze in several careers throughout his life. Growing up in San Francisco, he began his career at the Menlo Park Police Department where he rose to become the Deputy Chief of Police. After some time in law enforcement, Bob traveled to several states for 20 plus years in the software and hardware industries. He then decided to launch a career in commercial real estate, but the car bug finally got him and we’re glad he made his way to Club Sportiva. He is instrumental in our expansion by acquiring our new 10,000 square foot Clubhouse in downtown San Jose. Be sure to give Bob Harrah a warm welcome during your next visit to the Clubhouse.

Club Sportiva in the News

Set your TiVo to record the latest news about Club Sportiva. KGO-TV Channel 7 reporter Janelle Wang stopped into the Clubhouse recently to film footage for The View from the Bay program. The piece will air 3:00pm Tuesday, February 13th and will feature an interview with Club Sportiva founder, Torbin Fuller, as well as several of our finest Club cars.

Not to be outdone, KPIX Channel 5 reporter Dave Stoelk also interviewed Club Sportiva on a drive to Mt. Tamalpais in the Ferrari F355 and Lotus Elise for the Eye on the Bay program. Luckily the camera crew was able to keep in view of our Club cars while crossing the Golden Gate and climbing the curvy Hwy 1 for some beautiful shots at the top of Mt. Tam. The edition will be part of a special ‘Silver Spoons’ segment featuring Bay Area luxury brands and is scheduled to air 7:00pm February 27th. Keep an eye out for Club Sportiva in the upcoming press across the nation.
