Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and Maserati Quattroporte
Enter the Paddock
One of the reasons our Members join Club Sportiva is to avoid the complications and hassles of ownership. Given that, you would be glad you didn’t have to sell the Lamborghini Murcielago! It has taken roughly five months to sell, but its sale brings some exciting news to Club Sportiva Members. We are very pleased to announce the addition of a 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder to the Collection. This 520 horsepower monster carriers yellow paint over a black interior with a six speed manual transmission. Note the 20 horsepower increase from our last Gallardo Coupe. This drop top beauty arrived the week of February 25th and is an Elite Tier 2 vehicle.
As many Members have indicated, a sedan would be a highly desirable addition to the Collection and as such, we are pleased to announce the addition of a Maserati Quattroporte. It's a 2007 model in Pozzi blue (uniquely a Ferrari color) over a saddle interior. Additionally, we have heard Member feedback and you can expect further announcements in the near future regarding additions to the Collection.
Aston Martin DB9 Volante is Leaving the Collection
A message we continue to hear from our Members is that flexible variety is an extremely important component of the Club Sportiva experience. To that end, the Aston Martin DB9 Volante’s tenure is coming to an end to facilitate the next vehicle addition. The planned time frame for the car’s departure is March/April. As always, the next addition will be based on Member input received through the car Collection survey.
As a reminder, please don’t forget we have initiated our new guest vehicle rotation program. A number of Members had great experiences with the Corvette convertible and it has already rotated out of the Paddock. Now, the monstrous Corvette Z06 has begun its rotation and is here through April 14th. Let's not forget about the fantastic Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, Dodge Viper SRT/10 convertible and Aston Martin V8 Vantage which are rotating next to our San Francisco Clubhouse for quick appearances to keep things spiced up for our Members. Try driving them all, as each provides its unique driving experience to satisfy your automotive palate.
Member Appreciation 5th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of our 5th year in business, Club Sportiva hosted an anniversary party for our Members. It has been an exciting five years that have gone by quite fast. The evening was filled with music, drinks and a fully catered menu. This was a unique moment in our history and we wanted to take time to say thank you to our Members. Without our Members, we wouldn't be celebrating our 5th anniversary, and as such, this celebration was not open to the public. Most exciting was the debut of the yellow raging bull – the newest addition, our 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
We had a drawing for a $3,500 Gold Membership, among other exciting items for those who attended the evening. Over $2,000 was raised from the drawing which was donated to the Foundation for Sustainable Development.
Introducing the Club Sportiva Blog – Updated Weekly
Club Sportiva is pleased to announce the recent addition of our blog featuring exciting 24/7 car content. The blog has been a big success in the automotive community. With new topics and photos posted twice a week on a variety of subjects, you can also make comments anytime you choose. Bookmark www.sportscars.clubsportiva.com or link to it via the menu bar on our homepage. Other new technology updates will be announced shortly that will improve our Members' online interaction with Club Sportiva.
As a continuation of the great experiences our Members gained at Laguna Seca Raceway back in December, we will be holding another track day at Infineon Raceway on Friday, next week. Home of AMA Superbike, NASCAR and the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County, this track's unique challenges and versatility make it popular for all types of racing.
In coordination with TrackMasters Racing, Club Sportiva Members will drive the track with a professional instructor navigating them in the quickest line around track! The next event will be held at Thunder Hill Raceway in the June timeframe.
Wine Pairing Dinner Series
We are organizing a special Member dinner combined with an opportunity to try some of the Bay Area's finest varietals. A special tasting will be presented by one of Sonoma County's finest winemakers, Kurt Beitler of Bohème Wines. Grandson of famous winemaker, Charlie Wagner of Caymus Winery, Kurt's background stems from generations of winemakers and his viticulture studies span six countries across the globe.
This elegant dining experience will be hosted at one of San Francisco's finest restaurants, Jack Falstaff.
